OH! What about me? - Family First Aid Kit

OH! What about me? - Family First Aid Kit focuses on the various emotional reactions children experience during parental separation and provides emotional first aid strategies. The book also includes Augmented Reality (AR) interactive mini-games to help children practice these skills.

To write the stories in the book, we interviewed over a dozen individuals who experienced their parents' divorce. Even after ten or twenty years, some interviewees were still brought to tears when recounting specific, powerful memories.

It is often said, "The lucky ones use childhood to heal a lifetime; the unlucky ones use a lifetime to heal childhood." We hope this picture book can become a mental sanctuary for children navigating family changes, while also serving as a reminder to parents: even if your marriage cannot continue, never forget to tell your child, "We are separating, but it is not because of anything you did wrong. We will continue to love you as your mom and dad for the rest of your life."

If parents consciously handle the separation thoughtfully, even if the child must heal from the impact of their parents' divorce, they will at least not have to spend a lifetime doing so.
